ALTERNATIVE COURSE ACTIVATED - CPS 100K
FOR SAFETY REASONS, THE RACE MANAGEMENT HAS DECIDED TO ACTIVATE THE ALTERNATIVE COURSE OF THE CPS (CAMINS DE PEDRA SECA) 100K.
The safety of runners, volunteers, and teams is our top priority. Therefore, an alternative course has been designed that will allow participants to fully enjoy the race in complete safety, while at the same time preserving the spirit of the CPS.
The race changes its start, which will take place from RAIXA at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday (not from Estellencs). From there, it will follow its original route until the finish line.
To maintain the 100K category, an additional section has been added, which implies a modification of the initial route.
- After Fornalutx, the route is extended towards the Comuna de Fornalutx, with a new aid station at the Mirador de ses Barques.
With these modifications, the race will be 82 km and 3,100 m+.
DESCRIPTION:
82 km | 3,100 m+ | 3 Running Stones | Qualifying race for the CCC® of HOKA UTMB Mont-Blanc
The race will start at RAIXA and the course will take runners through emblematic places of the magical Serra de Tramuntana, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing through historic villages such as Bunyola, Orient, Alaró, or Fornalutx and crossing territories of the municipality of Escorca.
From forests and cobbled paths to technical mountain passages, the route takes runners through representative environments such as the Talaia de Cals Reis or the Tossals Verds area.
The final section, with the mythical Barranc de Biniaraix (declared a Site of Cultural Interest in 1994), will lead you into a landscape dominated by cliffs, scree, and streams, and will test your legs… until you finally cross the finish line by the sea, in the bay of Port de Sóller.
In addition, it awards you 3 running stones for the draw of the UTMB® World Series Finals, and the possibility of direct qualification for the CCC® for the best runners in the overall ranking or those who qualify with their UTMB® Score.
IMPORTANT:
- The cut-off times have been modified and adjusted to the new race conditions. Please check the updated schedule before the start.
- The organization’s transport service will keep the same schedules and stops and will go to the start at RAIXA.
Although the alternative course may present slight variations in distance or total elevation gain, it still meets the established criteria for its UTMB® distance category. Therefore, all finishers will receive the corresponding Running Stones, as established in the official regulations of the UTMB® World Series.
Thank you for your understanding.
