Through a magical environment
Starting from the streets of the beautiful town of Valldemossa, this race will follow the route of its older sisters. You will arrive at the town of Deià and, following the horizon line with the Mediterranean Sea, you will travel along roads and paths until you reach the sea in Port de Sóller.
The race runs through a unique environment on the island of Mallorca, the Serra de Tramuntana Natural Area, declared World Heritage by UNESCO. Sky, clouds, mountains, cliffs, sea... and the work of the locals who over the years have contributed to shaping this spectacular territory. A rural and cultural landscape full of dry stone walls, centuries-old olive trees, towns and villages that will accompany you on your journey.
The test, with a distance of 26 km and with 1,000 meters of positive gradient and 1,300 of negative gradient, seems to have a special attraction for lovers of mountain races.
This race will award its participants 1 running stone.
Do you fancy a walk with views of the Mediterranean?
In line with the regulations of the event and the conditions of the environmental permissions, the itineraries may suffer changes or be reduced, due to weather alerts or the conditions of the terrain.
Most of the tests pass through privately owned farms, and therefore there may be limitations on passage during the year. During the race, passage through them will be permitted with property permits. Therefore, private property and the will of its owners must be respected. Before going out to train you must inform yourself of these limitations and comply with them.

The jacket must not have parts made of a non-waterproof fabric, only the vents provided by the manufacturer (under the arms, on the back) and as long as they do not obviously alter the waterproofing, are accepted. It is the rider's responsibility to judge, according to these criteria, whether his jacket adapts to the regulations and therefore to bad weather in the mountains, but in a control, the judgment of the person in charge of the control or the commissioner will prevail.

NEUTRALISED SECTIONS
It is the will of the UTMB® Group to protect and cause the least possible impact on the paths along which our races take place. For this reason, and by express indications of the management of Paratge Natural de Serra de Tramuntana, there will be two neutralised sections in some of the races:
- Canaleta de Massanella
In the SDT 100M distance, at approximately kilometre 70, and in the M5000 100K, at approximately kilometre 30. With the aim of protecting this historic pass, this stretch of around 600 metres, which will be signposted, will be neutralised.
- Cingles de Son Rullan
Section of the distances SDT 100M (km. 128) and CDA 20K (km. 8). A singular section with a high degree of erosion. It is a downhill section of 250 metres.
What does neutralised section mean?
In these two sections, which will be signposted at the start and finish, the runner cannot run, overtake or use poles. They may only walk. Any runner who does not comply with the ban on running in these sections may be penalised with a minimum of 30 minutes penalty to be served at the next aid station. There will be Referees from the UTMB® World Series and Environmental Officers from the Government of Mallorca who will apply, indistinctly, these penalties, and even the prohibition to continue in the race.
For the good of these two natural spaces we ask for your maximum collaboration.
Reminder about the use of poles: We remind you that according to the environmental regulations of the Paratge Natural de Serra de Tramuntana, the use of walking poles is authorised as long as they have rubber tips, and the runner also carries a spare pair of rubber tips in case the first ones are lost.
