The SDT Changes Schedule and Route

• Due to the continued orange alert issued by Aemet on the island of Mallorca and the activation of the Special Plan METEOBAL at severity index IG1, the organization of Mallorca by UTMB® has decided to modify this event. • The other races (ETM, CDA, Joves Promeses, and Kids Race) scheduled for Saturday, November 2, and Sunday, November 3, remain unchanged for now.

In light of extremely variable weather conditions and the forecast of improvement, the organization of Mallorca by UTMB® is working to ensure that runners can enjoy the event with a series of adjustments.

The SDT will change its schedule and route and will start on Saturday, November 2, at 6:00 AM from Plaça de la Constitució in Sóller, arriving at Port de Sóller.

The SDT will become a 90-kilometer race, category 100K, with a positive elevation gain of 3,400 meters. Finishers will receive 3 Running Stones. The track and cutoff times will be updated on the website in the coming hours.

Participants will be able to leave their drop bags before the start in Sóller. The aid station will still be maintained in Bunyola, and participants can collect their drop bags at the Ultra-Trail® Village in Port de Sóller up to two hours after the race closes.

Runners who have booked the transport service will receive an email with the new pickup and return times.

This modification is due to the orange alert declared by the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) and the activation of the Special Plan METEOBAL at severity index IG1.

However, given the extremely variable situation, the celebration of the SDT, as well as the other races, is subject to weather forecasts and whether the current rain on the island of Mallorca affects the viability of runner transit and emergency services on the paths.

The other events remain unchanged for now. We deeply regret the inconveniences this situation is causing.
