Mallorca by UTMB® launches charity bibs

The race offers 34 places for the M5000, ETM and CDA with the aim of supporting a series of local projects carefully selected by the organization.

With just over a month to go until the inaugural edition of Mallorca by UTMB®, the organization has launched a charitable initiative with the aim of supporting a number of local projects. Runners will be able to purchase one of the 34 solidarity bibs available for the M5000, ETM and CDA distances.

The amount raised will go to three non-profit organizations carefully selected by the organization:

  • ASPANOB: Association of Parents of Children with Cancer of the Balearic Islands An association created in 1987 with the aim of improving the quality of life of children and young people with cancer in the Balearic Islands. Its mission is to detect the problems and needs of them and their families. The support program that this association carries out focuses on activities such as music therapy, psychological support, educational home care service, foster apartments, family respite, financial aid and social care, and a program of humanization during the time of stay in the hospital.
  • Grup d'Acció Social Sóller, which works to improve the quality of life of the most vulnerable. It is an association managed entirely by volunteers. Its objective is linked to a work plan for users who have a relationship with Social Services. A project that works 365 days a year making biweekly deliveries of food, which implies a great constancy, as well as an important economic expense to be able to supply the pantry.
  • Arrels Marines is a local non-profit association founded in 2020. Its aim is to be a reference entity in the conservation and regeneration of the Balearic Sea, while awakening the awareness of the local community to reconnect society with the ecosystems that sustain us. Its action plan is focused on the development of projects in the marine scientific-technical field.

The deadline for the acquisition of these places will be October 16 at 23:59h or until all available places are sold out.

The donations are collected by UTMB® Cares, a non-profit foundation created by UTMB® Group and non-profit. A global initiative to unite the worldwide trail running community and create positive change by supporting social and environmental causes in the race destinations of the UTMB® World Series circuit.
