Mallorca by UTMB® signs an agreement with Fornalutx Town Council to repair the road to Portell de Sa Costa

Mallorca by UTMB® is much more than a race. It is a sporting event whose objectives also include caring for and maintaining the environment in which it takes place. An example of this is the recent signing of an agreement between the management of the event and the Fornalutx Town Council through the UTMB® Cares Foundation to repair the Portell de sa Costa path.

We are talking about a winding path located in the mountains of the Sóller valley which was badly affected by a storm in 2021. After those heavy rains the paths had been covered by trees that had fallen to the ground, forcing users to walk along the original path.

Thanks to this action, which will be entirely paid for by the UTMB® Cares Foundation, the original route will be restored to this path. As well as repairing the damage, it will also avoid extraordinary erosion of these paths and will improve the safety of all the users who walk along them.
